PauYenKitchen is my hobby food blog to share my love of cooking with you.
This blog is started to capture my experiences cooking asian dishes I’d learned to prepare when growing up in Malaysia to western dishes I have taught myself to cook during my years living in USA and Germany.
I definitely also want to share in this blog how I love to turn basic ingredients such as flour into homemade “artisan” breads and baked delicacies.
You will find my favorite recipes here.
Some recipes are adapted from those I find interesting in cookbooks or the internet to prepare in my kitchen.
Some recipes are inspired by my visits to restaurants and are results of my experimenting with ingredients found in a delicious dish I‘ve tasted prepared by restaurant chefs.
Some recipes are my written notes based on verbal description of how a dish is cooked. Very often I would asked my friends to describe how they cook a dish I find very tasty and I would re-created their verbal recipes in my kitchen.
